SRES Certification


I’m excited to announce that I now have the SRES certification!
SRES means I am now a Seniors Real Estate Specialist.  The SRES designation helps me to work with real estate clients that are 50+.
I now know distinguishing characteristics and trends of the 50+ market so that I can discern them in your own market area. I know the federal laws for Housing for Older Persons Act (HOPA). I can help to recognize how a home can be adapted for safety, comfort, and aging in place.
In addition, I know about the uses, benefits, procedures, and issues involved in reverse mortgages. I also can help with using pensions, 401k accounts, and IRAs in real estate transactions, and have a thorough understanding of how Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security impact 50+ real estate decisions.
I’m looking forward to working more extensively with adults 50 and over in helping them to realize their real estate dreams!

This is a loan that allows older homeowners to use equity in their homes.   As a result of the uncertainty in the economy since the pandemic hit in 2020, there have been scammers that target older homeowners through reverse mortgage schemes. The Summer 2021 Real Estate Market

The housing market will continue to be hot this summer. Attractive mortgage rates, vaccine distribution, and continued growth in consumer confidence will make this summer continue to be a strong environment for real estate.
